Dies are CNC machined from premium
SAE 8620 steel with a Rockwell hardness of 80.
These dies are great for virtually anything you can dream up. Common uses are :
-Providing rigidity to sheetmetal projects.
-Lightening up builds
-Dimple die skid plates-front bumper plates-floorboards-foot pedals-footrests and many more uses.
-Use the raised side of the dimpled material for added traction on running boards and floorboards.
-Or just use them to add that extra RAD look to any project !!!!!
More Details:
Made for use with a hydraulic press or arbor press. There are no holes in the middle of these dies.
Holes must be drilled before you dimple the materials.(These do not act as punches)
We recommend no thicker than 1/8″ material. Customers have done thicker-that’s your final call.
We recommend lubricants when using the dies. SAE 30 motor oil works fine.This will reduce die wear and gulling.
